Tempo Storm are through to the Upper Bracket semi-finals at the Americas Minor Championship after edging past NRG 16-13 on Mirage.
The game began with NRG taking the pistol round, courtesy of a trio of kills from Justin "just9n" Ortiz, and following it up with the corresponding anti-eco rounds to secure a 3-0 lead. When Tempo Storm bought up, however, things quickly changed, and the Brazilian team overturned their deficit with a string of rounds.
With the lead completely reversed, Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić went huge and powered his team to equalise the score at 5-5 with back-to-back triple kills. The final rounds of the half were extremely close, with Tempo Storm securing a narrow 8-7 lead.

NRG picked up the pistol round on the CT side to restore parity at eight rounds, but then they were caught off-guard by a force buy from the Brazilians. After a double eco, NRG were back at it, picking up two rounds in a row thanks to some key AWP kills from Peter "ptr" Gurney.
Tempo Storm were unwilling to let NRG equalise the score and called a timeout to adjust their offense. That is when Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles took center stage, winning a 1v1 situation before pulling off an ace. NRG would still be able to bring the deficit to a minimum, but the Brazilians kept their cool and sealed a hard-fought victory.

Earlier in the day, TSM locked horns with Kaliber in the group's elimination match, on Overpass. As expected, the former Without a Roof team were no match for their Canadian rival, who ran out 16-4 victors after a very strong Terrorist display that culminated in a 12-3 half-time lead.
